Moto Reboot Issue and Solution

Motorola made its first Android smartphone in 2009, and its first Android Mobile & Tablet in 2011. Motorola's newest mobile launch is the Moto Z Play. The smartphone was launched in August 2016. The Mobile appears with a 5.5" touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels.

One of the largest & the most basic technical issue that was found in Moto is Rebooting problem.

Reboot Issue

A good number of Moto users have reported the random reboot / restart issue in their Moto, and the critical thing is that it can occur at any time. This is surely not an application issue, as this thing happens at any time even if the Moto is placed idle. But now, we can’t be certain, as sometimes even when the application is closed it keeps on running at the back end and it might be making such types of issues.

Hardware Solution


  • • Do it the following different steps for solutions to overcome this issue -

  • • For the most User, a simple software update takes to complete.

  • • If the above step doesn’t run for you then update all of your apps easily by:

  • • Go to Google Play Store.

  • • Click “My Apps”.

  • • Next Select “Update All”.

Open Moto mobile in Safe Mode & check, if you do not find casual reboot issue then it means that any of the installed apps are the root of the issue. Now access your phone in Normal mode and uninstall all the apps that you think might be the cause of the issue, keep on uninstalling them until you get the app that is reasoning this problem. But before doing that try to calculate the time interval between every restart so that you may have the meaning when to uninstall next app, afterward check your phone’s status.

Your SD card might also be the cause of this problem, as it has been reported that a bunch of Moto problems is mainly caused due to the usage of damaged SD cards. Remove your SD Card and check.

If all the steps fail then it might be due to power button or volume button problem, as the defective power button or volume buttons can also cause related problems. Change your volume buttons & power buttons then check.
